With the motto "Vuelven las Velas" or Return of the Sails, comes back the International Festival of Sailboats, Sail Cartagena de Indias 2018 and in Boats4U we will tell you everything about this great meeting of luxury boats and big sailing ships.

This is the fifth time the Festival is held in Cartagena, making it the host city par excellence for this event, which will also host the meeting of Latin American Armed Forces: Velas Latinoamérica.

July 21 to 26, 2018.

Time:
8:00.

Location:
Port of the bay of Cartagena.

Participants:
10 sailboats from 10 different countries, and two ships of friendly Armadas. Among the participating sailboats, we highlight the Sagres III (Portugal) Cisne Blanco (Brazil), Libertad (Argentina), Esmeralda (Chile), Unión (Peru), Guayas (Ecuador), Capitán Miranda (Uruguay), Simón Bolívar ( Venezuela), Cuauhtémoc (Mexico), and the Colombian vessel ARC Gloria, which will receive a tribute within the Festival's schedule due to the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the incorporation into the National Navy.

History:
The Sail Festival was held for the first time in the USA, in 1976 and it was not until 1983 that it returned, having as its headquarters the city of Osaka in Japan.
From there, it has been done in places like Canada, Amsterdam, Sidney, Rouen (France), Cádiz (Spain), Genoa (Italy), Porto (Portugal), Halifax (Canada), Alabama (USA), Mexico.
